What does the safety valve do?
It is a critical safety feature in a hydraulic heavy-vehicle jack. If you attempt to lift a load heavier than 22 tonnes (or incorrectly position an adapter), the safety valve automatically releases the hydraulic pressure — the jack will not fail under load, and the vehicle will descend in a controlled manner.
