What does the overload valve (bypass) mean?
This is a critical safety feature in a hydraulic floor jack. If you try to lift a vehicle heavier than 3500 kg (or incorrectly position the saddle), the bypass valve automatically releases hydraulic pressure — the jack will not burst under load and the vehicle descends in a controlled manner. Without bypass: the jack can burst or the vehicle drops suddenly. With bypass: safe operation.
